Mission of the Academy

The goal of the Citizen's Academy is to promote a better relationship between the Sheriff's Office and the community it serves and to foster a clearer understanding of Deputy Sheriff's duties, how the Deputy carries out those duties, and the end results of the Deputy's actions. Instruction consists of one 2-hour class held each week for the duration of five weeks. The instruction is comprehensive, covering different aspects of Law Enforcement each week. Each block of instruction will be taught by certified Law Enforcement and Public Safety personnel.
